Inspiring Dreams

We are deeply saddened by the tragic and senseless killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and so many others. McCloud Cares stands in solidarity with Black Lives Matter, silence is not an option. We stand for inclusivity, equality and justice, and reject prejudice, discrimination and systemic racism. Everyone has the right to be treated with respect, empathy and inclusion.

The McCloud Cares Foundation seeks to be an advocate and resource for children in underserved and underrepresented communities striving to realize their dreams. We pride ourselves in supporting a diverse group of children of all races, ethnicities and backgrounds, regardless of the circumstances that impact their daily lives, their socio-economic constraints, or physical and developmental challenges. Words are nothing without action, which is why we continue our commitment to diversity. Discrimination threatens communities focused on inclusion and acceptance. It goes against everything that we exemplify and represent.

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

We Are Dream
Makers

The McCloud Cares Foundation makes dreams come true for children facing economic and developmental challenges through a unique gift giving program, Miracles in December.

It started with $5,000 and an act of kindness for an outstanding student at Roosevelt Elementary School in Union City, New Jersey during Christmas 2007. From clothes, to food, to toys, we had the honor of giving this student and his entire family the holiday of their dreams. The joy on their faces inspired us to spread holiday cheer to two more families the following year.

Our program has grown since then and now extends beyond individual families to Pre-K through third grade classrooms throughout the tri-state area. To-date, we have made holiday dreams come true for more than 600 students by answering their letters to Santa.

We want to do more! Our corporate partners and community members have helped us raise more than $120,000 in donations to-date. Whether its donating funds, storage space, or your time, we need your help reaching our goal of raising $300,000 for 1,000 children annually by 2023.

Life’s Challenges Should Never
Impair a Child’s Ability to Hope and Dream

Imagine an eight-year old girl and the toy she’s dreamed about for months, but can’t whisper a word of it to her parents because there’s barely enough money for their household essentials and special needs care for her little brother, let alone a toy.

Roughly 15 million children live in families with incomes below the poverty line in the U.S. Additionally, nearly one in six American children have one or more developmental disabilities.

Navigating everyday life under these circumstances can be difficult. Being able to dream in spite of these circumstances can be even harder.
